As far as I remember, "netboot" cannot boot unmodified "vmlinuz" files. "Etherboot" offers this option, although its use is strongly deprecated and the feature might be discontinued in future releases. You will have to run your Linux kernel image thru "mknbi" to create an image file that can be loaded by "netboot"/"etherboot". There is a manual page for "mknbi" that describes the command line options.
