One diskless client machine could boot off the server by means of a bootrom floppy. The bootrom sends something and the server responds accordingly. Strangely, using the same bootrom floppy on another diskless client machine using the same type of ethernet-card (3Com 3C509B), there is no communication at all between the bootrom and the server. Only dots come out. It has also been defined in the file /etc/bootptab. The LED at the hub doesn't even lit for it. The card works fine when I use Windows95 on the same machine and the same cable though, and the LED at the hub lits up in this case. Please help. Thanks. Napi
