I did some investigation in that problem. First: in etherboot 3.1 all works fine. In Etherboot 3.2 the NE2000-code makes trouble. the WD-code works fine. The patches for eepro from "William A. Arbaugh" <waa@dsl.cis.upenn.edu> had no effect. So I think there must be some changes between 3.1 and 3.2 to the ne-code, producing this problem. The problem is: at beginning of probing the card, the bootcode hangs, the machine must be hard resettet. My card is an ISA-card and this problem occurs in ISA-PCs and in PCI-PCs.
