Anyone out there using Etherboot with initial RAM disk (instead of using and NFS-mounted root file-system)? Anyone know if it can or can't be done? I'll be looking into this tomorrow (OK, later on today), but if anyone has any information to make my job a little easier, I would be most grateful. I want to use initial RAM disk because it is a little more secure than NFS and because it is a heck of a lot faster, plus it automatically gives me a writable /var etc. without needing write permission back on the server. I'll still use NFS for read-only /usr, but put most other stuff onto the RAM disk.
