SMC Ultra - ROM signature error

Hi !

  I have many old smc-wd card with eprom-netboot and work fine.

  Now I put the same eprom 27c265 to SMC Ultra and EZStart say me, that 
I have bad ROM signature. If I ignore it, then code from eprom start,
unpack itself and send bootp, but no request is outgoing from this card
(I did monitor it by tcpdump on other computer) to network.
If I remove eprom from socket, configure this card without ROM and start
the same code from flopy, then work fine.

  Any idea ?
