>Yes, you need to specify the gateway in the appropriate bootp or DHCP field. you mean that I should use the gw entry in bootptab on Bootp-server side ? I did that... Bootp-server has 192.168.1.3 it's gateway is 192.168.1.1. Bootclient has 192.168.0.99 and it is getting this ip address from 192.168.1.3 via the gateway (daemon bootpgw is started on the gateway so the request / reply is done) it shows something like that on the bootclient : me 192.168.0.99 relay 192.168.0.1 (gw for 192.168.0.99) server 192.168.1.3 but TFTP hangs <sleep, sleep...> I also looked at /etc/hosts.deny and hosts.allow but there is nothing anormal. thanks Jan =========================================================================== This Mail was sent to netboot mailing list by: jzeller@tcs.ch To get help about this list, send a mail with 'help' as the only string in it's body to majordomo@baghira.han.de.
