With my boards (AOPEN MX3W-Pro, i810, Sound onboard, RTL8139 network adaptor via pci slot) I get after modifying: 6. NCR-ROM[A] 7. RTL8139.ROM[B] If I remove the NCR-PCI code, my rtl8139.rom gets the [A]. Is the bootrom of your network adaptor enabled (even without rom in it)? In my cases it only works, if the bootrom is enabled via card setup. In other cases nothing happens.
