two cards - howto boot ?

Hi,

I have a 100 and a 10 Mbit card in my system. I don`t know, which
card will be on a network with a server. 
Putting two roms in my system gives me two questions and I need to know,
which card is asking me.

As I don`t need to get this system boot very quick, I tried something with
timeouts, but this didn`t work.

Any idea how to solve this ?
