Net Boot with Root User

Hello All,

I can net boot a diskless Motorola PPC and log on by
common user name and password. After I loged in as
common user, I tried to use "su" to become a
superuser. I got a message "incorrect password". It's
weird. Because I unshadowed passwd file under
/tftpboot/ip/etc on server and made root passwordless.

Is it possible to use "su" to become a superuser on
diskless machine? How to solve my issue?
