3c900-combo and etherboot

i have a 3c900-combo (tp,aui,bnc). at other cards i don't have problems
using etherboot. but what's wrong at 3c900-combo. which rom image i
should use? i tested all 3c905 drivers, set the tranceiver to
tp(etherboot and card), but nothing.
when i start the fd-image, etherboot shows the right io, irq and type
and says, it sends dhcp requests. but my switch don't shows a link.
any ideas, what's going wrong?
