You mean rpl as you have this nic with build
bootrom?
A. When yes then your idea is create another boot
server .... W2000 not have this support...
You can try use old 386 machine and instal on it
Personal netware rpl server.
This you can obtain as buildin DRDOS or NWDOS 7.x
instalations disk set.
When you install this dos on machine plus personal
netware server you must add to startnet.bat
start of rpl.com with parameter PS=name of this
netware server.
In login directory you must copy dosgen flopy boot
image for client machine and create bootconf.sys
file with mac adresses.
bootconf.sys:
0x008048CD2439 = WIN1.SYS
0x008048CD1967 = WIN2.SYS startnet.bat:
@ECHO OFF
SET NWLANGUAGE=ENGLISH LH LSL LH PNPODI LH IPXODI LH SERVER NEARSERV RPL.COM PS=BOOTER_PC Replace mac with your nics mac and create boot
flopy.
Then when you boot your machine with rpl novell
boot you start ok.
B. When no have boot rom and you can create then
you can use W2000 as global server.
On W2000 you must instal dhcp server and tftp
server. For booting you use etherboot from www.etherboot.org
all instruction to booting is on docs. When you try
booting use http://rom-o-matic.net/ and create
floppy for test.
After all is ok you must create bootrom chip with
electronic programator eproms.
This all is for booting anybody os. For win98 you
can install on legal hardisk minimal config and then copy this to server. In
bootfloppy you copy all necessary files back to ramdisk and start on
it and other apps you can leave on server but you must edit registry and
set proper paths.
Legal remotebooting suports only win95A. I have
this with IE5.5 and works fine.
Bye.
