Hey All, I'm getting kernel panics all the time regarding the NFS-mount and I cant make sense of it. Here is what the panic says: ... Loading kernel/fs/reiserfs/reiserfs.ko error: not found [: open: unexpected operator Mounting root /dev/nfs Usage: mount [-r] [-w] [-o options] [-t type] devive directory umount2: Device or resource busy Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! I would guess that 'mount' doesn't get its parameters properly but I really dont know where I'm doing a mistake and I cant find anything in the postings. I think I'm doing the simplest case by booting via floppy and getting the kernel via tftpboot. Here my menu.lst I'm using with GRUB: color white/blue black/light-gray default 0 timeout 8 framebuffer 1 title boot via NFS ifconfig --address=134.76.219.154 --mask=255.255.255.0 --server=134.76.219.127 root (nd) kernel (nd)/vmlinuz root=/dev/nfs rw nfsroot=134.76.219.127:/tftboot/134.76.219.127 ip=134.76.219.154 initrd (nd)/initr I'd appreciate every kind of help here! regards Vincent David =========================================================================== This Mail was sent to netboot mailing list by: Vincent David <vincent@jupiter.chaos.gwdg.de> To get help about this list, send a mail with 'help' as the only string in it's body to majordomo@baghira.han.de.
