I did not forget to compile a kernel with RAM disk support. I did leave out initial RAM disk (initrd) support because etherboot/netboot-0.5.3/INSTALL suggests that it is not required : ... "Accordingly if you want to use ramdisk support the filesystem type you are going to use on the ramdisk has to be permanently compiled into the kernel. You don't need initrd support, though it makes it possible to remove the ramdisk lateron." ... My experience is that it won't work unless you compile in initrd. Regards, Bo
