Hello I tried netbooting before with some success - I managed to download kernel (with netboot.0.7.x I think) but it stopped at loading VFS root filesystem. In the meantime I upgraded my server software (to Redhat6.0 with 2.2.5 kernel) and also downloaded new netboot 0.9 - unfortunatelly its floppy bootroms didnt work with my dc21143 cards - I guess it hanged with them, with 3c509b it seemed to work by bootpd/dhcpd servers were deaf to its requests. So I "downgraded" to 0.8.1 and its floppy bootrom has communicated with both dhcpd and bootpd server, displayed right bootImage location and local/server IP but then stopped with "cannot load bootblock from disk, insert boot disk and press any key". I expected it will start downloading bootImage via TFTP, I have my tftpd demon running so I'm puzzled at this point. Please help Bartek. -- ________________________________________________________________________ Bartlomiej Jarocki * Instytut Techniki i Aparatury Medycznej * Medical Technology & Equipment Institute mailto:bartek@itam.zabrze.pl * ul.Roosevelta 118, 41-800 Zabrze, Poland.
