Hi, I'd like to ether/netboot a small embedded board off an IDE compact flash disk without having to put a kernel on the CFdisk (and hence, use loadlin). Reason to use DOS: switch the graphics hardware to drive a PAL TV before the kernel boots. Markus sent me some hints how to re-enable the making of COM files in the Makefile but I seem to be too silly to get it done. Does anyone have an archive of old Makefiles which still allowed to compile a COM file? Or concrete hints? 4.4.2 does not appear to contain anything like this. TIA! -- Once at a social gathering, Gladstone said to Disraeli, "I predict, Sir, that you will die either by hanging or of some vile disease". Disraeli replied, "That all depends upon whether I embrace your principals or your mistress". =========================================================================== This Mail was sent to netboot mailing list by: Harald Milz <hm@seneca.muc.de> To get help about this list, send a mail with 'help' as the only string in it's body to majordomo@baghira.han.de.
