Hello,
normally cbrom should not demage the Bios if the right cbrom version
is used. To avoid problems it is recomendet to use cbrom Version 2.0x.
The Version number can only found by reading the cbrom header output.
Please read the README files in the newest etherboot release.
There you'll find my remarks to cbrom earlier send to the list.
Depending on the Award Bios the extensions should be recognized or
are blowing in the wind. Try to use /pci or /oem0 option.
