Try to use /pci or /oem0 option. Ok, the cbrom 2.04 did work: no excessive beeping after power on ;). But, as you said: blowing in the wind, no change in bootup... I think, I succeded in removing the code for bootup from the chipdisk, but I did not succed in placing the etherboot rihght.
