I've updated http://rom-o-matic.net to have the latest development version of Etherboot, 4.7.16. If you can, please try out this version and report results to the list of your choice. This version has some major internal changes that will light the way to a brighter network booting future. Please note that if you choose "Floppy Bootable ROM Image" as your output format, it already has "floppyload.bin" prepended to it, so you can just do: cat somerom.lzfdimg > /dev/fd0 (or you can use dd or rawrite (from dos)). If you choose the "Binary ROM Image" you still need to do: cat floppyload.bin somerom.lzrom > /dev/fd0 If you're at LinuxWorld Expo New York (Jan 30 - Feb 2, 2001), please stop by the Etherboot Project booth (.org #6) and say hello. Also, please attend Jim McQuillan's excellent talk on LTSP and the "Birds of a Feather" (BOF) session on thin clients. Marty P.S. The holidays were a big time for making ROMs. here is the count of ROMs generated over the last few weeks: access_log.20001217: 455 access_log.20001224: 776 access_log.20001231: 547 ../access_log: 419 (as of Thursday. ends on Sunday) --- Try: http://rom-o-matic.net/ to make Etherboot images instantly.
